Family cycling

In the first of our series we look at how the Foundation Rides can work for families.  Bike rides are a great way to spend time together as a family. There are many places where you can ride off the road away from traffic including cycle paths, canal towpaths, some parks and converted disused railways.

Use the challenge of the Foundation Rides to plan some family time and get some exercise at the same time.

Some ideas for a challenge include:

Go for a family picnic
Ride to visit a friend or relative
Commit to riding together once a week
Visit a local landmark/attraction by bike
Introduce a family member to cycling

You could even plan a short tour with an overnight stop, it doesn’t have to be camping, you could use a hotel or youth hostel. Now that sounds like an adventure doesn’t it?

Whatever you are thinking of doing sign up for the Foundation Rides today (link to entry form above) and help us raise some much needed money to support our community activities.  Have fun.
