Aircraft Charter

London Biggin Hill Airport is dedicated to business aviation operators, their executive clients and their aircrew.

Facilities are designed to meet the specialised demands of this sector. It is the core business of the Airport.

Biggin Hill can now be used by aircraft – either owners’ aircraft or chartered – to carry passengers, freight or animals. The Airport is not permitted to allow regular air services where passengers can buy their individual flight ticket, unless it is a one-off emergency.

However, the Airport does cater for private passengers who wish to charter an aircraft to make their flight as a convenient, personalised alternative to a regular scheduled flight – or indeed who may wish to fly to a regional airport closer to their final destination which is not serviced by a scheduled airline.

This is very much an increasing part of London Biggin Hill Airport traffic. In many cases passengers are discovering that this is not only a faster, more comfortable and more convenient way to travel, it can also be remarkably cost effective.

A privately chartered aircraft flies to your schedule, and can be held, even if your meeting overruns. There are no lengthy check-in times – operators of private jets use the dedicated business aviation terminals – and, in these troubled times, the extra security of private charter is a decided bonus.

We can accept aircraft that have up to 120 passenger seats or carry freight up to 21,000 kilos. So we can cover everything from small group trips with one or two passengers right up to large conference groups, sporting teams and so on. The Airport has the same security equipment and capabilities as the major airports and as members of the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP), can undertake hold and hand baggage screening.

If you would like to charter an aircraft from Biggin Hill, there are plenty to choose from – either from Airport-based operators or those from other bases who would come especially into the Airport to meet your needs.

Call 01959 578500 and ask for a charter quotation or send us an e-mail with your enquiry, stating dates and times if known, number of passengers, destination location and whether you expect any exceptional baggage such as golf clubs or exhibition equipment.

Alternatively, please contact our based operators directly as below or your charter broker (see also the BACCA website).
