Charities
Biggin Hill Airport are proud to support the following charities.
Foal Farm
Foal Farm is an animal rescue centre, a registered charity based in Biggin Hill. Its aim is to take in sick, distressed and unwanted animals and restore them to health and happiness.
The Farm comprises a 26-acre facility where the animals are micro-chipped, vaccinated and given any required medical attention.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals are eventually placed in secure and vetted homes.
BBC Children in Need
BBC Children in Need exists to change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Its vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and a chance to realise their potential.
Pudsey Bear made his TV debut in 1985 when Terry Wogan introduced the brown cuddly mascot to the TV audience. He was designed by Joanna Ball, a BBC graphic designer who named him after the west Yorkshire town where he was born. He proved very popular and returned as the Children in Need official logo the following year with his design amended to that of a yellow bear with a red spotted bandage.
