Consultation

The independent Airport Consultative Committee is the statutory body for consultation with users, local authorities and local community and business organisations. It meets at the Airport every quarter.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman are independent and there are representatives from Bromley and Croydon Councils, as well as other adjacent local authorities and parish councils.

Residents’ Associations represent local communities, users are represented by operators based at the airport, and local businesses are represented by chambers of commerce and other business groups. The aims of the Consultative Committee are to inform the local community about developments and plans, to seek to balance economic benefit and environmental impact and to support local economic activity.
